- Welsh actor Owain Rhys Davies, known for his roles in Twin Peaks: The Return and The OA, has died suddenly at the age of 44.
- His family announced the news on Tuesday in a statement that read: “This news will come as a great shock to many. The reach of Owain’s love, friendship, and generosity was vast.”
- Rhys Davies’ brother, Rhodri, said there were “questions” surrounding his brother's death, but highlighted the family's comfort in the “outpouring of messages” received.
- Davies played Agent Wilson in three episodes of David Lynch's Twin Peaks: The Return and also appeared in the Netflix sci-fi drama The OA.
- Tributes have been shared by the likes of SNL UK writer Humphrey Ker and Downton Abbeyactor Joanne Froggatt, who praised his talent, kindness, and joyful nature.
