Yash's Toxic being reshot after postponement? Makers clarify (original) (raw)
Yash's upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been at the centre of speculation in recent weeks, with reports claiming that the actor was unhappy with portions of the film and that the makers were planning a 100-day reshoot at a reported cost of around Rs 40 crore.
The production house has now dismissed those claims, with a spokesperson telling NDTV that no reshoots have been scheduled for the Geetu Mohandas directorial.
The rumours appear to have gained traction after the film underwent a series of release date changes. In December 2025, the makers announced March 19 as the release date for Toxic, setting up a box-office clash with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2.
However, that plan changed after tensions in the Middle East escalated, prompting the makers to postpone the release.
On March 4, KVN Productions announced that the film would move from March 19 to June 4, citing the impact of the Middle East shutdown on the film's overseas release prospects.
The postponement gave Dhurandhar 2 a solo release window, and the film subsequently emerged as a major box-office success. Toxic was later pushed beyond June 4 as well, and the makers are yet to announce a new release date.
Anticipation around the film remains high as it marks Yash's first release since the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2.
Apart from starring in the film, Yash is also credited as a writer and producer, highlighting his creative involvement in the project.
Backed by KVN Productions, Toxic also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
