MORE festive postbox coverings have appeared across the district, including the first one to be reported in Gourock.

Reader Roddy Kennedy spotted the festive addition to the pillar box at the corner of Manor Crescent and Cardwell Road, above.

Meanwhile the one at Newark Street at Johnston Street in the West End of Greenock has also had the Christmas crochet treatment, bringing to five the number reported to Inverclyde Now so far.

Others are in Inverkip, and two more in Greenock West End — one at Finnart Street at Forsyth Street and the other on South Street at Campbell Street.

So far no one has claimed responsibility for the crochet creations.
