This week, amid commemorations of Yom HaShoah, when Jews in Israel and the Diaspora pause to remember the victims of the Holocaust, the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM monitored a significant uptick in antisemitic incidents across the globe.

A total of 183 incidents were tracked, up 37% from the weekly average of 134 for 2026 so far.

In London, England, two suspects were arrested following the firebombing of Finchley Reform Synagogue on Wednesday. The incident followed the recent torching of four Jewish ambulances in London’s Golders Green neighborhood, as well as similar attacks in Belgium and the Netherlands since the outbreak of the Iran war.

One Year After Hanukkah Massacre, Australian Mayors to Meet in Bondi for Summit Against Antisemitism

It was announced this week that municipal leaders from across Australia will convene in Bondi Beach in late November, just three weeks before the first anniversary of the Bondi Beach Hanukah massacre, for the Local Government Summit Against Antisemitism, co-hosted by CAM and the Waverley Council.

The forum will build on the landmark 2025 Australian Mayors Summit Against Antisemitism held in Gold Coast last September.

Summary of Events Over Last Week

The latest Global Antisemitism Report highlights 183 new incidents of antisemitism monitored worldwide by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM during the past week.

Categorized by ideological motivation, 62.8% were Far-Left (115 incidents), 11.5% Islamist-Inspired (21 incidents), 11.5% Far-Right (21 incidents), and 14.2% Unattributable (26 incidents).

Broken down by type, 58.5% were Anti-Israel/Anti-Zionism (107 incidents), 22.4% Classical Antisemitism (41 Incidents), 13.1% Holocaust Denial/Distortion/Minimization (24 incidents), 2.2% Islamist-Inspired (4 incidents), and 3.8% Unattributable (7 incidents).
