Former Zamalek midfielder Tarek Mostafa has been appointed on Tuesday as coach of UAE Division One side Al-Fujairah.

Mostafa’s appointment comes two days after the club announced the sacking of the Bosnian Džemal Hadžiabdić better known as Jamal Haji.

The former Zamalek assistant coach has most recently worked as manager of UAE’s second-tier side Al-Oruba.

The Emirati side is currently third in Division One with 34 points from 19 games, with the top two teams promoted to the UAE Pro League at the end of the season.

Currently, leaders Ajman have 39 points and second-placed team Dubai CSC are on 37 points from 19 games.

Fujairah have most recently lost to 10th-placed Ras AlKhaimah 2-1 and will be facing leaders Ajman in their next game on 14 April.

There are only three games remaining before the end of the Division One season.
