Egypt Super Cup to be played at Borg El Arab in front of 10k fans - KingFut (original) (raw)

The Egypt Super Cup between Al Ahly and Zamalek will take place next Friday in the presence of 10,000 fans at the Borg El Arab Stadium, with 5,000 from each team.

Amongst all the chaos of last season’s scheduling, it flew under the radar somewhat that the Egypt Super Cup for the trophy winners of the 2017-18 season never took place.

As a result, it will take place next Friday between Al Ahly and Zamalek as they won the league and domestic cup respectively.

The distinction for this Super Cup is that fans will be allowed to attend the game. After there were no issues with fans in hosting the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, it seems that the EFA are gradually reintegrating fans into Egyptian domestic games.

Each club has been given an allocation of 5,000 tickets, which is expected to sell out fast given the high demand for the game.
