National Art Honor Society 2024

The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) was established in 1978 by the National Art Education Association. The intent of this organization is to recognize exceptional art students who not only excel in creating art; but more importantly, use their artistic talents to create a better world for those around us through character and service. The intent is to show students that talent and practice is not simply enough, but the way to make a real impact is using their talents and skills to help and support others.

Memorial Day Ceremony

Kingsway hosted its 29th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony and our students, faculty and staff paid tribute to the brave men and women serving in the armed forces. We recognized those Dragons who paid the ultimate price to secure our Constitutional rights and to allow for us, the living, to work toward creating a more perfect union. Abraham Lincoln inspired Americans during a great civil war and his timeless words continue to be as relevant today as they were then. “The world will little note what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us, the living, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.”

In the spirit of this year’s keynote speaker Andrew Young, to truly thank a veteran this Memorial Day weekend, choose unity over division, kindness over hate and be sure to do your part, however small it may be, to the unfinished work of those who gave their lives for life, liberty and the right to pursue happiness.
