ABOUT LARK+PALM INTERIORS

Lark + Palm Interiors is known for their creative and methodical take on design, rooted in a process of ‘storytelling’ that guides their work from start to reveal. Whether undertaking a ground-up build, renovation, or a furnishing project, Lark + Palm Interiors creates functional, deeply personal homes that incorporate clients’ lives—and dreams—into each space.

Led by a skilled team of designers and project managers, Lark + Palm Interiors oversees every aspect of the design journey. From initial drawings and renderings to art consultation and interior architecture, they coordinate with artisans and specialists as needed, streamlining what can often be a complex process.

Operating from their headquarters in Sausalito, Lark + Palm Interiors serves clients throughout California —including Wine Country and Monterey—along with growing clientele in Houston, Aspen, the Rocky Mountains, Texas Hill Country, and areas beyond.

DISCOVERY + VIEW

While no two projects alike, we start each project with a discovery of the architectural vision and of the people who will inhabit the space. Collaboration and alignment are the cornerstone of each project, ensuring efficiency and mutual understanding.

DESIGN + DOCUMENT

Collaborative and meticulous creative planning is core to our design process. Thoughtful consideration is given to both form and function and we enjoy value engineering to align with project parameters. Documentation and partner planning are central to the project success.

EXECUTION + DELIVERY

Communication is queen. We maintain clear and consistent communication throughout the partnership with all parties involved - including a focus on budget tracking, schedules and execution oversight with trade partners. We take as much pride in our rigorous project management as we do the creative design of the project.

MEET FOUNDING PRINCIPAL, ANSLEY MAJIT

A home should do more than look beautiful — it should make you feel beautiful, balanced, and at ease within it. My work is about creating spaces that elevate daily life: homes that glow with color, flow with energy, and reflect the individuality of the people who live there.

That belief was shaped by my own early experiences. I grew up in homes that were carefully kept and filled with beauty, yet often felt unsettled or out of reach. It taught me that true design is not just about appearances, but about creating spaces that welcome, support, and inspire.

My path to interiors began with a love of storytelling and culture, studying literature and Italian before living abroad. In Italy, I was struck by the contrast between ornate, layered traditional homes and sleek, contemporary ones—and fascinated by how the two could merge into something extraordinary. Later, my work in fashion sharpened my understanding of proportion, color, and the way materials transform both people and spaces. Just as clothing can be tailored to bring out someone’s best, interiors can be designed to make the people within them shine.

Today, as the founder and creative director of my firm, I bring together these influences to design homes that are both visually striking and deeply livable. Every project is an opportunity to create a space that feels grounding, inspiring, and uniquely alive for its inhabitant
