Former Boyfriend Arrested in Tito Jackson's Ex-Wife's Slaying - Los Angeles Times (original) (raw)
An ex-boyfriend of Tito Jackson’s former wife was arrested Friday and charged with her slaying.
Donald J. Bohana, 60, was held without bail and scheduled to be arraigned Monday on charges of killing Delores Jackson, 39, the former wife of Michael Jackson’s older brother Tito.
Delores Jackson died Aug. 27, 1994, of “asphyxia due to drowning, alcohol intake and blunt force traumatic injuries,” according to the county coroner’s office, which listed the death as suspicious.
Bohana told investigators at the time that he found her in his Ladera Heights pool. His attorney, Nelson Atkins, did not return a call seeking comment.
A wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of the sons of Delores and Tito Jackson in May 1996 alleged that Bohana drowned Jackson after a night of abuse. The family also accused prosecutors of inaction.
