- Meet Kyle ! 👋 Kyle is from northern Ohio has been assisting the downtown community for the past three years. Kyle leads new hires in the Central Business District and provides training for business checks, graffiti and sticker removal, and more. We spent some time getting to know a little more about him and what he enjoys about his role! What is your daily motivation? This job gives me a lot of freedom, but it also keeps me accountable. I love taking graffiti and stickers down and I love when people notice that we as ambassadors are passionate about keeping Downtown looking clean. What makes Cincinnati special? I’m from a smaller town, so I appreciate that people here are kind and open minded. There is always nice scenery and something to do whether its visiting an art museum or attending a concert. What brings you pride in being an ambassador downtown? Prior to starting here I was addicted to pain pills. I went to rehab and met a friend that helped me get out of that mental space and I wanted a new environment. So, I came here to Cincinnati and someone told me that 3CDC was hiring and they gave second chance opportunities, so I applied. My friend knew the hiring manager, Dana, and she reached out and gave me a chance. I see how people treat homeless people, and it brings me pride to offer them a helping hand. What do you enjoy doing on your days off? I collect coins (new and old), stickers, buttons, and knives. I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and her daughter. (Fun fact: Kyle’s trash can is covered with all of the cool stickers he successfully removes!) What’s a quote you live by? Always try to be a better man than you were yesterday. More than 85 ambassadors are employed by 3CDC, patrolling the streets of Downtown Cincinnati and OTR on foot, cleaning sidewalks and alleys while providing guides, maps and friendly assistance to visitors, residents, and businesses alike. If you see Kyle downtown, be sure to stop and say hello! Our ambassadors work hard to keep the city clean and safe. Thank you for all that you do, Kyle! ❤
- On this Veterans Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have served and sacrificed for our country. Thank you for your courage and commitment. Happy Veterans Day from all of us at 3CDC. ❤️
- Today, from 12PM to 7PM, @alienrecordsotr is hosting their soft opening at 1207 Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine! Cincinnati native and lifelong music enthusiast Timothy Henninger recently partnered with Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) to bring his vision to life. This 1,240-square-foot store will offer a curated selection of new and used records, along with listening booths for customers to enjoy their finds. Henninger recalls spending time in some of his favorite Westside record stores as a kid in the eighties. They were a place of comfort for him – somewhere he felt at home during his difficult teenage years. Now, he hopes to provide the same type of meaningful space to others at Alien Records. Alien Records will carry primarily vinyl records, but will also sell CDs, cassette tapes and a variety of other music-related media like VHS tapes and DVDs – and the foundation to the beginning of the store’s used inventory will be from Henninger’s own collection. Alien Records will also operate as a buy, sell, trade (BST) store, meaning customers can come to shop current inventory or to sell or trade albums from their own collection. Additionally, it will be a place where record players can be serviced or repaired. Upon officially opening, Alien Records will operate seven days a week from 11AM until 7PM. Join us in celebrating this new addition to the neighborhood!

Congratulations to Christy Samad, 3CDC’s Executive Vice President of Civic and Commercial Space Activation, who was chosen as a winner of the 2024 Women Who Mean Business Awards by Cincinnati Business Courier! Part of Christy’s charge is to lead the post-pandemic revival of civic spaces in the heart of the city. Much of that success is evident in the influx of new businesses and bustling activity around Fountain Square and Court Street Plaza, which 3CDC manages and programs. This year, Christy took over leadership of 3CDC’s leased spaces as well as its public spaces and is responsible for how both areas will interact with each other. She has been instrumental in achieving 3CDC’s vision for activating civic spaces and has consistently led the way in bringing the neighborhood to life with programming and events. The Cincinnati Business Courier will host a luncheon honoring these remarkable women on Dec. 10 at Music Hall. View profiles of the honorees in the Friday, Dec. 13 print edition. 📰 Here’s to you, Christy, and the inspiring example you set! ❤️ -
