Since 1934, owners and builders have selected ACCO Engineered Systems to design, install, and maintain more than 250,000 mechanical projects. ACCO is dedicated to the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance and service of commercial and industrial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, process piping, and building automation systems. ACCO offers complete in-house engineering, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and service capabilities. This integrated delivery system provides customers with the most practical, cost effective solutions for their particular mechanical and control system requirements. Through innovative engineering, comprehensive design solutions, consistent work quality, and qualified maintenance; ACCO confidently delivers the best possible solution. Over the years, we've grown at a dynamic pace, becoming one of the largest mechanical contractors in the country. To accommodate our increasing product offerings, we’ve expanded with Sunbelt Controls, Sunbelt Electric, Smith MEP, Geo. H. Wilson, PLS Companies and AES Industrial. What’s great about working here is that we’re a big enough company to be the leader in HVAC mechanical contracting in California and the Southwest U.S., but as a 100% employee-owned ESOP, we’re a private company with a family-oriented feel. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our October event, hosted by ACCO Engineered Systems! 🙏 It was an amazing day filled with hands-on learning, networking, and great conversations. One of the highlights was the interactive activity where attendees had the chance to work with ductwork and piping—learning by doing was definitely a crowd favorite! 🔧✨ Many members shared how much they appreciated the opportunity to better understand the challenges and time commitments involved in mechanical work. Comments like, “Now I understand why the mechanical sub was telling me how much time it takes,” reflect the value of these practical experiences. Last week, NorCal WiOPS: Women in Construction Operations hosted an interactive “Learn by Doing Workshop” at ACCO’s San Leandro office. The event kicked off with a lively happy hour networking session. Attendees then took a tour of ACCO’s sheet metal fabrication facility, where they saw firsthand how ductwork and hydronic piping are manufactured and assembled in-house for various projects. The experience continued with a hands-on sheet metal and piping assembly workshop. To top it off, participants could capture fun moments in a Die Hard-inspired photo booth after the workshop. A big thank you to #WiOPS and everyone who made this event possible! WiOPS: Women in Construction Operations is a nonprofit organization that provides learning, mentorship, and networking opportunities for the women construction leaders of today and tomorrow.
