Aclara Resources (TSX: ARA) is becoming the cleanest source of Heavy Rare Earths for green technologies.
About us
Aclara Resources (TSX: ARA.TO) is on a mission to supply the world with the cleanest Rare Earths in the market while becoming the first vertically integrated heavy rare earths company outside of Asia. The company is developing two heavy rare earth projects, one in Penco, Chile and one in Goias, Brazil. Aclara has also developed an extraction process called Circular Mineral Harvesting, that no other mining company can claim to have: it uses no explosives, no crushing, no milling and it does not produce any liquid residues. No tailings dam is required in our process. Furthermore, this patented process uses only recycled water, and it recirculates ~95% of it, as well as 99% of its main reagent; a common fertilizer.

The race to produce rare earth elements technologyreview.com - Aclara's COO Barry Murphy talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s latest progress toward becoming a vertically integrated rare earths producer. Barry highlighted the completion of a conceptual engineering study for Aclara's rare earths separation facility, conducted in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) and Hatch. The results of this study have positioned Aclara as a potential leader outside of Asia in heavy rare earth production. "The recoveries associated specifically with the heavy rare earths are all north of 90%, so that's really good news," commented Barry. He also discussed how the study's estimated capital expenditure of $354 million underscores the company’s commitment to reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
