Active Power Inc. is a leading manufacturer of kinetic energy storage products and modular infrastructure solutions (MIS). The Active Power battery-less UPS systems are found in many applications where continuous high quality power is paramount such as computer data centers, financial institutions, broadcasting, telecommunication networks, airports, healthcare facilities and continuous process production sites. Our technology ensures permanent kinetic energy storage is always available, meeting customer critical power requirements and sustainability while lowering total cost of ownership. Langley Holdings PLC, a UK based, globally operating industrial group, acquired the business and assets of Active Power Inc. through its Piller Power Systems Inc. subsidiary, in late 2016. The addition of Active Power’s differentiated kinetic energy UPS technology to Piller Group’s power protection portfolio has strengthened its position in the market, creating additional compelling alternatives to traditional UPS offerings for mission critical applications.
