Last week, our CEO Pedro Azagra met with Southern Connecticut Gas (SCG) technicians at our headquarters in Orange, Conn., to commend their exceptional commitment to #safety and #training. In September, these technicians — Craig McNamara and Bhisham Jaigobin — responded to a major residential gas leak. Upon arrival, they quickly identified a leak within the flammable range, posing a significant explosion risk. Thanks to their swift actions, they evacuated the home and surrounding area, shut off the gas, and secured the leak, preventing a potential disaster. This incident exemplifies our organization’s dedication to continuous on-the-job training, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring our customers receive safe, reliable service. This week our 1,000 employees wrapped up our 125th Anniversary Celebration. Here are a few pictures from our Open House in Augusta that brought together more than 300 community leaders, CMP employees and company retirees! As part of this event, we happily dropped off more than one ton of food gathered by our employees for 92 Moose's Camp Out Hunger event!!
