Mira Boyce, Specialist, Onboarding & Training, London "💔I believed I lacked resilience —I thought I was weak and prone to cracking under pressure. I’ve dealt with ADHD, eating disorders, and a tendency to push myself too hard. It wasn’t until I faced a series of personal challenges, like losing my nan and a very close friend during Covid and dealing with physical health issues, that I started to confront these patterns. It became clear I needed help and sought professional guidance. 🙋🏽♀️I knew I was struggling personally, but it was starting to affect me professionally as well. I previously attended some BEST sessions on mental health and started to wonder if they could help, so I reached out to our London Wellness Team. At the time I was only expecting a temporary fix, but they went above and beyond, checking in regularly and creating a space where I could confront my deeply rooted issues. Their nonjudgmental guidance and encouragement helped me take steps toward regaining control over my life. 🧘🏽 Our wellness team introduced me to tools and practices like meditation, journaling, and self-care planning. Slowly, these became my anchors. I began to understand that resilience isn’t about being unbreakable; it’s about adapting and thriving despite challenges. This, combined with the unwavering support of my manager and team, were critical to my recovery. Whether it was accommodating my need to start work later, take extended breaks, or adjust my workload, they never hesitated to help. ❤️ The support I’ve received from loved ones around me and from those at Bain has been nothing short of life changing. Their kindness, patience, and belief in me have allowed me to discover what resilience truly means. My journey is one of healing, self-discovery, and learning to thrive, even when life feels overwhelming. I am stronger than I ever thought possible." -
