Formed during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bay Area Community Health (BACH) brings more than 70 years of combined service to the area that stretched from Union City to Gilroy. Before forming BACH, Tri-City Health Center served the Fremont community for 50 years, becoming a central force for providing health services to all in southern Alameda County. Foothill Community Health Center began servicing low-income families and individuals in East San Jose in 1996 and the greater Santa Clara County region in 2011. Both organizations bring decades of service, relationships, and professional staff to Bay Area Community Health. BACH serves more than 100,000 people, who rely on high-quality healthcare services, regardless of their immigration status, ethnicity, disabilities, or ability to pay,

- At Bay Area Community Health, we understand that questions about immigration status and healthcare access can be significant concerns for many in our community. To better support our patients and partners, we’ve added a new resource to our website. You can now find helpful information at this link: https://lnkd.in/g6SSK27w. This page provides clear guidance on privacy rights, Medi-Cal eligibility, and accessing care regardless of immigration status. We encourage you to share this resource with your teams and the communities you serve. Below, you’ll find a flier with important information about public charge to help address common concerns. We are proud to continue supporting communities with access to healthcare and provide enrollment assistance for public benefits such as Medi-Cal and CalFresh. For assistance, please contact our Outreach team at 510-252-6808.

- A Visit to Remember: Congressman Eric Swalwell at Bay Area Community Health Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Congressman Eric Swalwell at our Liberty clinic, where he experienced firsthand the dedication of our team and the breadth of services, we provide to support the health and well-being of our community. From touring our medical offices to exploring two of our Mobile Health Clinics, the congressman learned how we’re bridging gaps in healthcare access—meeting families where they are through school partnerships and bringing care directly to underserved neighborhoods. Our Chief of Strategic Development, Wil Lacro, shared the importance of these collaborations, emphasizing that our mobile units see up to 3,000 patients each year in the Alameda district, including those in need of mental health services. Wil thanked the congressman for his ongoing support and highlighted how community funding projects helped make these clinics possible. The congressman also expressed his gratitude for BACH’s work, saying: “Despite the challenges in acquiring funding for these mobile units, BACH has demonstrated that when the community voices its needs, organizations like this can make a real difference. Thank you for the incredible work you do.” Highlights of BACH’s impactful programs shared during the visit include: - TransVision: Nationally recognized care and support for the transgender and LGBTQIA+ community. - Food Farmacy: Combating food insecurity with a "food as medicine" approach to improve health outcomes. - Vaccines for Children (VFC): No-cost immunizations to ensure every child has access to preventive care. - Telehealth: Flexible and accessible care options for families. The congressman met with Dr. Page and our passionate staff to hear real-life stories about how we’re addressing barriers to healthcare and improving lives. Swipe through the photos to see highlights from Congressman Swalwell’s visit, including our Mobile Health Clinics in action! We’re immensely grateful for Congressman Swalwell’s advocacy and continued support, which empower health centers like BACH to serve vulnerable communities and create innovative solutions to improve access to care. Together, we’re building a healthier future for the Bay Area. What steps can we take to improve healthcare in our communities? Let’s start the conversation below!
