A Heartfelt Return to Jackson, MS! The Association of African American Museums was thrilled to have our President & CEO, Dr. Coleman-Robinson, keynote the Mississippi Museums Conference in Jackson, MS. This occasion was particularly meaningful, as Dr. Coleman-Robinson’s first conference at the helm of AAAM was also held in Jackson—a true homecoming! The conference offered a wonderful opportunity for Dr. Coleman-Robinson to reconnect with familiar faces, including former AAAM Board Members, Dr. Robert Luckett and Malika Polk-Lee, while also forging new connections. We are deeply thankful to Michael Morris and John Spann for inviting her to share her expertise with the Mississippi museum community. Though the visit was short, it was an uplifting and reflective experience that recharged Dr. Coleman-Robinson for the important work ahead. We look forward to continuing these invaluable connections with our museum family, and seeing everyone in Charleston, SC for AAAM2025 July 23-25 #BlackMuseumsMatter #MississippiMuseums #CulturalHeritage #MuseumLeadership #Community- +2
