- In 2024, we continued to serve our customers and support our community. We accelerated generative AI development throughout the year and introduced several new products across Bloomberg Law, Bloomberg Tax, and Bloomberg Government. More than 1,100 employees volunteered 4,100-plus hours through our BOB activities and Bloomberg Philanthropies contributed $185,000 to charities selected by INDG employees who participated in the Dollars For Your Hours program. In this video, our Head of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community, Jennifer Gauthier covers what we've been up to this year. Stay tuned for what we will accomplish in the year ahead!
- Every day, our sales team engages with America’s leading businesses and most influential tax, law, and government relations firms— empowering professionals with the expertise, industry knowledge, content, and technology they need to seize opportunities and make well-informed decisions. In this video, sales team members Carroll Hebron Jr, John Todd, Tanjima Islam, and Kelsey Murphy share their personal journeys, what drew them to our team, and how they make an impact. - In recognition of Veterans Appreciation and Military Families Month, SALUTE, our employee community in support of veterans, active duty, and military families, honored our nation’s heroes through programming centered around the theme “Back to Basics.” This month, SALUTE hosted a physical training challenge, a military branch expo, a visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arlington National Cemetery, and a panel discussion on veteran hiring and retention. To close out the month, meet Product Enablement Team Lead, Jennifer R. McKinney! Since joining the team, Jen has been integral in finding ways to give back to the veteran community through her work with SALUTE. When asked who inspires her, Jen said, “My dad inspires me. A Vietnam Veteran, he spent two tours and came home to the abuse of the time. He didn’t talk much about his experience until the last few years, but it drove his work ethic, empathy, and compassion. He spent a career in journalism as a newspaperman covering some of the most impactful stories in our hometown, resulting in several awards for his stories.” Learn more about Jen and stay tuned for more features of leaders within our community!
- Our Information Security Team recently held 'InfoSec Day 2024,' an annual event to educate our employees on the importance of cybersecurity. Over the course of the event, attendees learned more about cyber and information security through information sessions and interactive activities at tables representing each engineering department team. Veracode, an application security company, and AndeAI, a passion project that was built in-house and explores the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, also had tables. The event concluded with a panel discussion featuring Jeffrey Wheatman, SVP Security Role, Black Kite; Idan Plotnik, CEO of Apiiro; Jacob DePriest, CISO at 1Password; Jennifer Swann, Bloomberg Industry Group InfoSec Director; and Jason Rouse, Bloomberg CISO; served as the moderator. The Information Security Day event was a great way to let employees learn more about cybersecurity and the vital role that everyone plays in safeguarding sensitive company data.

- In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, B-ABLE developed a series of events, discussions, and activities to raise awareness and highlight the importance of accessibility in the workplace. In the spirit of “Empower Every Perspective,” we are highlighting B-ABLE advisory board member, Daniel Connors. Since joining us nearly 3 years ago, Daniel has established himself as a leader in his roles and involvement in our employee community. When asked what his favorite mantra is, Daniel responded, "When there is a will, there's a way. The reason why I love this is because people with disabilities are known for their resilience. Growing up as a deaf person with a cochlear implant, I had to constantly fight for myself to prove people wrong and that I could succeed at both school and work. You will be surprised how many times people have told me that I can’t be successful in what I do because of my hearing disability and speech impairment. " Daniel’s resilience has enabled him to succeed at Bloomberg Industry Group, and we couldn’t be more excited to see his continued growth and how his perspective and hard work enrich our organization! Learn more about Daniel and stay tuned for more employee features and programming from our employee communities

- We welcomed Mike Bloomberg to our office this week to give employees the opportunity to hear from him directly about the values that define Bloomberg – in particular, focusing on customer service and giving back to the community. He spent time with our sales and product teams where he heard about our latest innovations for Bloomberg Law, Bloomberg Tax, and Bloomberg Government, and he offered his perspective on building market-disrupting technology and delivering value to clients. We were all inspired by his journey, philanthropy, and words of encouragement.
- In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, V!VA developed programming centered around the theme, V!VA Adelante, which translates to Live Forward. In the words of V!VA Co-Chairs Kate Azevedo and Johnnie Campos, “Our heritage events will showcase our cultural community allowing us to come together to better understand our past, while ultimately living forward to shape our future.” In the spirit of moving forward to build a better tomorrow, meet Angélica Serrano-Román. Since joining us in 2022, Angélica has brought a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to our team as a state tax reporter for Puerto Rico. Originally from the island, she has enabled our tax team to provide more nuanced and context-rich coverage of important tax issues impacting it. Her ability to incorporate diverse sources into her reporting has helped us to better connect with our audience and tell more inclusive stories. Beyond her work, Angélica is committed to giving back to the greater Hispanic community. As a faculty member at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she teaches journalism and mentors emerging reporters. Learn more about Angélica and stay tuned for more of V!VA’s programming for #HispanicHeritageMonth.
