We’re still feeling the good vibes from a December filled with giving back to the communities where we live and work. Our Wood Products team got into the holiday spirit with a friendly competition to benefit Operation Santa in Kettle Falls, WA. Together, our Kettle Falls Plywood team and Region office associates collected 229 toys for children in need. They also donated $1,000 in toys. Our BMD Dallas team hosted their annual "Forklift Rodeo", which is a day of fun, competitive challenges that highlight material handlers' skills and safety practices. 70 associates participated or showed support, and winning associates were recognized for their impressive skills. Boise Cascade teamed up with Habitat for Humanity for the Avenues for Hope Challenge, a giving campaign that enhances housing opportunities for low-income Idahoans. Our team donated $2,500 and built a wheelchair ramp with the help of our awesome associates. The wheelchair ramp supported a local resident, so they can safely navigate their home with a mobility scooter.
