About us

Cameron LNG, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal near the Gulf of Mexico, was constructed to bring clean, efficient natural gas supplies to North America. Today, domestic natural gas production in the U.S. is high, and the Energy Information Administration estimates that the U.S. has more than a 100-year supply of natural gas. Due to this shift in market conditions, Cameron LNG constructed natural gas liquefaction and export facilities next to the existing terminal to create bi-directional capability. Cameron LNG is now able to: • liquefy domestically-produced natural gas for export, • import LNG and regasify it for delivery to domestic markets, or • re-export foreign-sourced LNG. Cameron LNG is jointly owned by Sempra Infrastructure, TotalEnergies, Mitsui and Japan LNG Investment, LLC, a company jointly owned by Mitsubishi Corporation and Nippon Yusen Kabashiki Kaisha (NYK). Together, these companies represent extensive international and LNG market experience. Cameron LNG’s headquarters are located in Houston, Texas. With an estimated total investment of approximately $10 billion, the liquefaction project created new jobs, brought economic prosperity to the region, and provides America’s trading partners with access to supplies of natural gas.

We welcomed SOWELA Technical Community College students enrolled in the Process Technology program to our Technology Center this week. During their visit, students engaged with our leadership team, who bring over 60 years of Operations expertise, to learn about training requirements, career progression and the importance of being an essential worker. SOWELA’s PTEC program aims to prepare students for employment by providing a combination of classroom instruction and practical experience. We are proud to partner with SOWELA as an exemplary education institution as we continue to prioritize hiring local students who have obtained an Industrial Technology degree to start a career at Cameron LNG.#ProudtobeCameronLNG #WeEmbraceLearning
With our liquefaction export terminal located along the Gulf Coast, we are far too familiar with the devastation a hurricane can cause. Cameron LNG is proud to partner with Cheniere Energy, Inc. and Venture Global LNG to provide supplies to support relief efforts in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene. With the help of our friends at Brown's Food Center and Currie's, we're providing storm victims with essential items needed to begin rebuilding communities in the aftermath of the recent destruction. After facing the impacts of natural disasters, "Hackberry Strong" has emerged as our community’s motto. As August temperatures continue to rise, so does the risk of heat-related occupational illness and injury. Cameron LNG’s Health & Safety team sponsored a “Beat the Heat” event today to keep our personnel safe and informed by providing heat stress awareness and prevention tips. During the event, Heat Aware badges and cooling towels were distributed to make sure our employees and contractors stay protected on the job. Cameron LNG is proud to be a longtime sponsor of the Marshland Festival. This community event supports Hackberry, Louisiana, with proceeds benefiting Hackberry High School and other local nonprofit organizations.
