Thai Union Group PCL demonstrated its continued commitment to marine conservation by helping deliver 109 coral reef restoration structures at Koh Racha Yai, Phuket. The initiative, now in its second year, utilizes SCG’s eco-friendly 3D printing technology to create natural-looking, cement-based structures designed to facilitate coral fragment growth on the seabed. At the event, Thai Union was represented by Mr. Kirati Assakul, Chairman, Mr. Thiraphong Chansiri, CEO, and Mr. Adam Brennan, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. They were joined by Mr. Chana Poomee Chief Sustainability Officer SCG, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantarika Chansue, Chair of the Earth Agenda Foundation. To read more: https://lnkd.in/g5wDw5Yc #SeaChange2030 #coralreef #restoration #ThaiUnion #SCG - As our employees in Lyons, Georgia, along with the surrounding communities, continue to recover from Hurricane Helene, Chicken of the Sea and Thai Union Group PCL. have partnered with several local emergency response organizations, including Convoy of Hope, to support disaster relief efforts throughout the affected areas.Convoy of Hope serves as a hub and spoke distribution center that partners with additional local groups such as Bread of Heaven Outreach in Vidalia, Georgia, to ensure that aid is delivered to where it is needed most. To date, approximately 44,000 pounds of canned fish have been delivered, with even more to be donated soon. Additionally, cash donations were provided to Bread of Heaven Outreach and the United Way of Toombs, Montgomery, and Wheeler Counties to further assist with ongoing relief efforts.
- Thai Union Group has announced that Bryan Rosenberg has decided to step down as CEO of its Thai Union North America (TUNA) region, effective January 1, 2025. Rosenberg will remain with the company as Executive Director and Founder, supporting the frozen business by managing key customer relationships, coaching and mentoring its leadership team, and supporting Thai Union’s strategic interests in the North American market. Rosenberg co-founded Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF) with Thai Union in 2006. In 2020, he assumed leadership of Chicken of the Sea International (COSI), when he became President & CEO of TUNA. Dan Halford, COSFF’s SVP of Operations, has been appointed as its new President. Dan will report to Rittirong Boonmechote, President, Thai Union Group, Frozen Business. Earlier this year, Andy Mecs was appointed as President, COSI. “It has been our intent for some time to transition the leadership in North America,” said Rosenberg. “I remain fully committed to the long-term success of the business and have complete confidence in Andy, Dan, and their respective leadership teams to drive the next phase of each company’s growth.” Under Rosenberg’s leadership, COSFF grew to be the top importer of shrimp and crab meat in the U.S. “I want to thank Bryan for his leadership, partnership, and tenacious spirit in building COSFF to be one of the premier seafood importers in the U.S.” said Thiraphong Chansiri, CEO of Thai Union Group. “He has worked tirelessly and been a key contributor to our success, most recently guiding COSI to the path of sustainable performance. I am grateful that he remains committed to our organization, working with us on key strategic issues in the North American market.” Rosenberg added, “I’m extremely proud of our accomplishments during my leadership tenure with Thai Union and would like to thank the executive team for the confidence they have always placed in me. Like many others, I’ve spent my entire career in the seafood industry and plan on remaining connected to it for many years to come as part of this next phase of my career.” In addition to his role at Thai Union, Rosenberg has served on the National Fisheries Institute’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and the Seafood Task Force Board of Directors.
