75 years ago today — on December 30, 1949 — Ken and Bud joined forces with their brother Carl, and together Cianchette Brothers, Inc. was founded. A fourth brother, Chuck, would later join the team. As the company grew and entered new locations and markets, the brothers simplified the company name by taking the first four letters of Cianchette and the first three letters of brothers and reduced Cianchette Brothers, Inc. to Cianbro. What began as a small construction company in rural Maine would go on to exceed even the brothers’ wildest expectations. Today, we thank the people that have contributed to the company's growth — our past and present team members and their families, our clients and customers, and all our stakeholders — for being an integral part of our remarkable journey! - From all of us at Cianbro, we wish you a happy, safe, and healthy holiday!
- In the spirit of giving back, Cianbro’s corporate headquarters in Pittsfield, Maine, once again provided 12 teams an opportunity to select a nonprofit organization to receive a $1,000 donation each. The chosen charities were New Hope Women's Shelter, South End Teen Center, Maine Paws for Veterans, Habitat for Humanity, Sophia's House, Maine Veteran's Project, Sarah's House, Good Shepherd Food Bank, NAMI Maine, Barbara Bush Children's Hospital, Maine Children's Home, and Maine Game Warden Foundation.
- We are honored to share that this U.S. flag was flown over the United States Capital in recognition of Cianbro's 75th anniversary, at the request of Senator Susan M. Collins. "This milestone reflects the outstanding work ethic, reputation for excellence, and resilience of the entire Cianbro team," the Senator shared in a letter to Andi Vigue, chair and CEO. Thank you to Senator Collins for this meaningful gesture.
