Our CEO, Oswaldo Acosta, recently appeared on the Capitol Gains Podcast with CFE's Clean Energy Advisor, Matt Posner, and James McIntyre to talk about the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s #InflationReductionAct, the #GGRF, and the role community lenders will play in building a new green economy. "We’ve got the community connections, but now we need to scale up staff expertise, technical assistance, and project management capabilities to handle this new wave of green finance," said Oswaldo as he spoke at length about balancing the local capabilities of CDFIs with tapping into the larger financial infrastructure in this country to deliver scalable cost savings. 🎉 Loan Closed! 🎉 We're thrilled to announce the recent closing of a project that supports the installation of solar panels on a local church in SE DC. In collaboration with DC Green Bank, we've supported ROI Solar LLC's commitment to providing the church with free energy. Through the free energy agreement, the church expects to save an average of 895monthlyequatingto895 monthly equating to 895monthlyequatingto10,700 annually. These substantial savings will significantly benefit the community by allowing the church to reallocate resources to its programs and services. As we gear up to launch our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund lending operations, we are excited to facilitate similar clean energy projects that further DC’s sustainable development goals.
