- Fixing a cloud virtual machine bricked by the CrowdStrike outage is an ideal job for AI agents like Devin. Nobody wants to do it, but it needs to be done — millions of times. Delegating these tasks to AI frees up engineers to do more interesting work. Here’s Devin’s fix:

Under the partnership, Microsoft will use Devin to help its developers achieve more, starting with code migrations and modernization, and bring Devin to its customer base. Devin will be powered by Azure. From VS Code to GitHub, Microsoft has a singular presence in the developer ecosystem. We're thrilled to partner on code migration and more uses for Devin, and elevate the developer experience for all.

More about Devin: - Devin is the new state-of-the-art on the SWE-Bench coding benchmark, has successfully passed practical engineering interviews from leading AI companies, and has even completed real jobs on Upwork. - Devin is an autonomous agent that solves engineering tasks through the use of its own shell, code editor, and web browser. - When evaluated on the SWE-Bench benchmark, which asks an AI to resolve GitHub issues found in real-world open-source projects, Devin correctly resolves 13.86% of the issues unassisted, far exceeding the previous state-of-the-art model performance of 1.96% unassisted and 4.80% assisted. Our team is small and talent-dense.
