C4G is a community of over 1,000 consultants and the nonprofits they serve for a stronger nonprofit sector.
About us
Consultants for Good is a dynamic, peer-driven collective of mission-driven consultants who are motivated to learn together, share work opportunities, swap business tips, and bond over shared experiences. Through online and in-person community, C4G hosts all of the peer-led education and opportunities to connect that consultants need to thrive. Did you start your business for more freedom and flexibility, only to find yourself feeling isolated and spread thin? The Consultants for Good (C4G) community invites you to become a collaborative consultant and thrive, both as a nonprofit expert and as a business owner. Every member of C4G has experienced the imposter syndrome, professional isolation, client challenges, and information overload that hold many consultants back from the freedom and fulfillment we all deserve. In 2018, nonprofit consultant Lauren Andraski faced these same challenges and dreamed up a vibrant, peer-led community for mission-driven business owners to navigate these waters together. She started an email list with her personal contacts, and now C4G boasts an international community with hundreds of consultants. Unlike many other nonprofit professional groups, C4G is dynamic, inclusive, spam-free, peer-led, and valuable for mission-driven business owners regardless of background or experience. With conversations always buzzing and a full event calendar each month, what you get out of C4G is entirely up to you! If you share and ask for support, participate in learning sessions, and connect with other members, you will be rewarded with invaluable knowledge, work opportunities, and relationships. If true community is what you seek, don’t spend another day going it solo! Join C4G to discover more freedom and fulfillment in your business.

- Hey y’all, Jenni Getzy here! 💁🏽♀️ Asking for a favor: This post will be longer than social media marketers (including myself) say it should be for the algorithm and clickthrough rates and whatever else, BUT would you please stick with me just this once? I’d love for you to reflect with me on how we, as nonprofit sector folks, are advancing the value of equity that MLK Jr. advocated for his entire life. In a 1962 speech for Cornell College, Dr. King said, “I am convinced that men hate each other because they fear each other. They fear each other because they don’t know each other, and they don’t know each other because they don’t communicate with each other”. We’ve made progress addressing outright hate toward “others,” but there are still so many inequities baked into our sector. Personally, I’ve heard too many things like: 💬 “We give a hand up, not a handout” 💬 “Our clients can’t be board members because we require a minimum donation of [$X,XXX] and they can’t afford it” 💬 “We just never get applicants [from minority group X], and we can’t control that” I get it if your gut reaction to these statements is red-hot fury. After all, I’m a disabled woman of color, a “second gen” in an immigrant family, and the life partner of a neurodivergent person who’s a descendant of an ethnic group that has been brutally targeted in several genocides throughout history… So yeah, my hurt and outrage run pretty deep. But back to Dr. King’s quote: “I am convinced that men hate each other because they fear each other. They fear each other because they don’t know each other, and they don’t know each other because they don’t communicate with each other”. I fully empathize with the need for safe spaces to rage/vent/cry. And, when you’re ready to chip away at that hate, that fear, that lack of communication that still pervades this sector, I want you to know that C4G has ✨so many compassionate consultants✨ who are here for you, and for your nonprofit. You can connect with our community using our free search engine, where you can find all kinds of experts (in DEI, yes, but also in over 70 other specialty areas) who share parts of your and your constituents’ identities, such as: 👉 Being of a certain race 👉 Identifying as LGBTQ2IA+ 👉 Speaking a non-English language 👉 And more (Please don’t worry — we NEVER require consultants to publicly share these personal details. We all have the option to add this info, our pronouns, and more to our profiles, only if we want to.) Try out our free search tool: https://lnkd.in/ghj6Cj3NAlso, in case you’re interested: One resource I found SUPER helpful in improving the way I respond to inequitable statements like the examples I shared above is the book “Say More About That” by Amber Cabral. OK, thank you for reading my novel. 😉 Now let’s get back to work, #ForGood.
