- Carlo Scissura, head of the New York Building Congress, is optimistic for the future of local infrastructure projects, especially the renovation of Penn Station. The key will be appealing to Trump's origins as a real estate developer and public persona, said Scisurra Thursday during an interview with Crain's Editor-in-Chief Cory Schouten. "It's very simple: Get him excited about it. Bring him here. Have him feel like it's a project that he could put his hands on and love and feel like one day people will say, 'Donald Trump helped get this done,' and now you got a new Penn Station," he said.

What a day at Crain's New York Business Power Breakfast! Great to see so many familiar, and new, faces. Thanks to Crain’s NY Editor-In-Chief Cory Schouten for an always lively conversation. We discussed the countless projects and initiatives we are working on at New York City Economic Development Corporation, including the Harbor of the Future initiative, the state of New York City’s economy, and finally, a bit of breaking news... As I shared during my opening remarks, yesterday we launched NYCEDC’s International Landing Pad Network, a one-stop shop for emerging international companies to establish operations right here in NYC. Phase one is officially live, in the form of an online form for service providers. More details can be found on the official ILPN page: https://lnkd.in/eD2529agThanks again to everyone at Crain’s New York for another great Power Breakfast in the books.
