As one of only eight people in the U.S. to receive a rare complex heart and liver transplant, Aetna member Judy Wiggins is a medical miracle — and one who never had to worry about the "what ifs," thanks to the determination of our #TeamCVS colleague. ⬇️ 🩺 A nurse case manager with Aetna, a CVS Health Company, Susan McLaughlin, is part of Aetna's National Medical Excellence Program® (NME), which helps eligible members access covered treatment for organ transplants. 📋 When Judy was determined to be a good candidate for heart after liver transplant (HALT), Susan worked tirelessly to make sure she never had to worry about anything leading up to or after her complex surgery. 🎉 Over a year since her successful operation, Judy revels in the moments that matter — like attending her son's summer wedding — thanks to Susan's immense guidance throughout the entire process. President and CEO David Joyner said: “Prem is a strong operator with deep experience across our businesses, and in his role, he will help me and the rest of our leadership team drive improvements in our financial and operational performance across our company.
