I'm excited to celebrate an incredible experience as the Lead Student Consultant for a semester-long project in my Global Trade Practicum at the University of San Diego - Knauss School of Business! This semester, I had the privilege of leading a team of four amazing individuals- Kate Collier, Hannah Coronado, and Kyla Barrett—to develop an international market entry strategy for Cymbiotika, a thriving San Diego-based wellness brand in the supplements industry. Highlights from the project include: - Managing my team to ensure collaboration, innovative problem-solving, and high-quality results. - Learning to use specialized databases, such as the World Bank, ITC Market Access Map and Trade Map, Euromonitor Passport, Freightos, and Descartes. - Conducting extensive international market research to analyze and synthesize actionable insights and recommendations. - Producing a comprehensive 70-page report and presentation that recommended a foreign market entry strategy for Cymbiotika to expand into a new market. I’m incredibly proud of my team for their dedication, professionalism, and creative approach to overcoming the challenges that arose throughout the project. This experience has been a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of embracing a global mindset in business. A huge thank you to Ammar Hotic, Director of Sales at Cymbiotika, for his guidance throughout the project and for giving us this valuable real-world consultancy experience! Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Eileen Daspro and the University of San Diego - Knauss School of Business for providing opportunities like this, which continue to fuel my passion for learning and growth.
