The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is part of the Federal Reserve System, the central bank of the United States. We work with other regional Federal Reserve Banks and the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C., to drive monetary policy that is attentive to the diverse needs of communities all across the nation. And we help make sure that, wherever you live, you can rely on money, banks and payments when you use them. Our work at the Dallas Fed supports the entire country, but our heart belongs to the region we call home. We serve the Eleventh Federal Reserve District—Texas, northern Louisiana and southern New Mexico. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗼 Economy: Our research team monitors the regional economy and shares accurate, unbiased economic data and analysis. Banking: Our cash team supplies the region’s banks with currency, and our examiners supervise banks to ensure they are treating consumers fairly and operating soundly. Community: Our outreach team partners with business and community leaders to promote inclusive economic development. Education: Our education team provides lesson materials and presentations on economics, managing money and the Federal Reserve.

I’m excited to welcome Tracee Bentley and Brad Beasley to the Dallas Fed’s El Paso Branch board of directors. Tracee is President & CEO of Permian Strategic Partnership, a coalition of Permian Basin energy companies and higher education institutions that work to address challenges and foster education and workforce development. Brad is managing partner for the accounting and consulting firm Beasley, Mitchell & Co. where he manages the Audit and Assurance practice and provides accounting and tax services to a broad range of clients. These individuals will both help oversee the El Paso Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas by contributing their expertise to the important work we do. They join Von Washington, Leila Melendez, Christian Perez Giese, Kari Mitchell and James Walter. https://lnkd.in/gH9YTWBQ
The Dallas Fed has named two new regional executives for North Texas and the Austin area. They will focus on deepening relationships with business and community leaders to gain greater insight into the economy at the grassroots level.Donald Bowers II has been named regional executive for North Texas, and Guhan Venkatu as regional executive for the Austin area. Previously, Bowers served as vice president and deputy regional executive for the Dallas Fed’s Houston branch. Venkatu joins the Dallas Fed from the Cleveland Fed, where he has served as senior principal and senior policy advisor. Dallas Fed Beige Book: Growth resumed in manufacturing output, home sales increased slightly, while energy activity was steady. Outlooks continued to improve although there was concern regarding potentially adverse effects of future immigration and trade policies.

The Dallas Fed is proud to welcome Claudia Aguirre of Houston as chair and Gary Kelly of Dallas as deputy chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas board of directors for 2025. I recently had the opportunity to witness the commissioning and awards ceremony of the District Law Enforcement team. It was so great to see the new team members get sworn in, others get pinned into their promoted positions, as well as officers who helped save lives and branch Officers of the Year get recognized for their achievements and efforts. So today, on National Officer Appreciation day, I salute the men and women of the El Paso, Houston and Dallas branches of the 11th District Federal Reserve Bank, and the work that they do to keep the bank and its employees safe day in and day out. I appreciate you greatly!
