Today at Desert Jet Center, we were proud to support a vital pet rescue mission, transporting shelter dogs from the Labelle Foundation in Los Angeles to Stumptown Strays in Portland, OR. These pups arrived in Thermal, CA, where they connected to their next flight with the help of amazing volunteer pilots Perrin and Andrew from Amelia Air. With shelters overflowing after the recent SoCal fires, Labelle took in 200 dogs, and Amelia Air is grateful to be able to give these pups their chance to find loving homes in Portland. Amelia Air Animal Rescue is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing euthanasia by leveraging unused capacity in aviation for rescue.
