Congratulations to our project team at California State University, Chico's new University Services Building (USB) for topping out! The USB will be the first mass timber structure built in the California State University system. The two-story, 22,132-square-foot building will house the Facilities Management and Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and Risk Management departments. The mass timber system reduces the project’s carbon footprint while providing structural support and retaining its natural interior finish. Other resource-saving features include daylit workspaces and interior layout flexibility. We’re honored to be delivering this innovative space for the Chico State FMS, EH&S, and Risk teams with our partners Dreyfuss + Blackford Architecture, Buehler, and Timberlab #Swinerton #DreyfussBlackford #Timberlab #SwinertonSelfPerform #HigherEducation
