Breaking barriers on and off the mat! 🥇 We’re proud as e.l.f. to share that we were the eyes.lips.first-ever beauty sponsor of the Wonder Women of Wrestling Varsity Tournament, the largest high school girls' wrestling competition in the U.S.! 🤯 “What I saw at the Wonder Women of Wrestling were dreams coming true as these young women achieved the level of play of top-tier athletes and, more importantly, gained the respect they deserve,” said Patrick O'Keefe, Chief Integrated Marketing Officer at e.l.f. Beauty. This empowering event brought together 700 fierce female athletes from 83 teams for 1,300 matches, cheered on by 3,000 spectators. Wrestling is the fastest-growing high school sport in America, and these young women are changing the game. As a bold disruptor with a kind heart, e.l.f. is committed to supporting underrepresented women’s sports and inspiring the next generation of game-changers. Through this sponsorship, we’re funding nine scholarships for college-bound senior wrestlers, helping them pursue their dreams beyond the mat. At E.L.F. BEAUTY, we’ve always embraced the model of a scrappy startup even as we’ve scaled. Bold ideas, fast decisions (what we call e.l.f. speed), and determination to deliver the best of beauty to every eye, lip and face are the guiding principles that have helped us grow to a billion-dollar global business. A learner’s mindset fuels our ability to disrupt norms, shape culture and connect communities through positivity, inclusivity and accessibility. I recently had the opportunity to speak with Harvard Business Review about how companies of any size can adopt this approach to unlock growth and innovation. In the article, “The CEO of e.l.f. - Our e.l.f.z are making a BIG e.l.f.ing difference. 💪❤️ This year, Katie Holian, Production Artist, supported the RIVER ARTS DISTRICT ARTISTS INC Foundation through our Employee Match program. She donated profits from her Etsy shop and contributed to mutual aid efforts for those impacted by Hurricane Helene. The River Arts District Artists Foundation is working to help artists rebuild after the storm destroyed their communities. For Katie, this cause is personal - her pottery studio in Asheville’s River Arts District was flooded with 30 feet of water, destroying her friends’ and the studio’s life work.
