Jackie Elrod, Jasmine Crumsey Forde, Venus Johnston, Celin Light, and Aruna Velamakanni were recognized as Technology Rising Star Award winners, defined as “women who are helping to shape technology for the future.” Jennifer Wang was recognized as a Top Women in Finance winner, defined as “leaders within their function with a proven track record of driving results and women who help promote inclusion in their organizations." Transforming packaging with co-created solutions in collaboration with Eastman 💚 This heat sealable paper-based solution provides a new option for difficult-to-pack foods ranging from confectionary end-uses to meat pies found in chilled-food aisles. Bhuma Rajagopalan, Ph.D. shares that the solution is compatible with existing extrusion coating equipment. In the month since Hurricane Helene left southeastern Appalachia in a state of devastation, we've helped our community by partnering with local businesses and organizations to amplify relief efforts. The Eastman Foundation matched a $100,000 donation from Food City / KVAT Foods Inc. to launch a fundraiser, supporting United Ways of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia disaster relief funds. We secured a loading dock from one of our vendors to support safe and efficient truck unloading at the donation collection center at Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway. We’ve also partnered with other organizations to help deliver thousands of hot meals and essential items to those affected by the hurricane. Read more: https://bit.ly/4hqAa44
