Our Mission is to improve the health of our community through comprehensive, accessible, affordable, quality and compassionate care. Our Vision is to be a national model of excellent health care. We are dedicated to providing healthcare for all people. Since El Rio began in 1970, we have grown from 10,000 patients to over 125,000 patients served. We are proud to be one of the most innovative, highly-regarded, non-profit health centers in the United States. We focus on positive outcomes, treating the whole person. Our healthcare is delivered by compassionate, professionally trained, integrated health teams who give from their hearts to provide world class care. “Your Health is Our Passion.” We serve 1 in 10 people for primary medical, dental and behavioral health care. Today, more than 128,000 people in Tucson trust us with their care. El Rio receives funding from many health insurers, patient co-pays from our sliding fee scale, government grants and private donations to El Rio Health Foundation. El Rio Health is a Federal Tort Claims Act Deemed Facility. This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

This Saturday, January 25th, we will be at our Northwest Health Center (320 W. Prince Rd.) along with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona with free, fresh produce from 8am-10am. This is a free event for our patients and community!

Join us in celebrating champions of “Health Equity and Access for All” as we showcase transformative innovations in practice-based research, quality improvement, patient-centered care, and community-engaged health initiatives from diverse community health centers and local partners across Southern Arizona.
The Pima Community College Community Health Worker Training Program is now enrolling! Two more information sessions are available. One tomorrow, January 7th, from 6pm-6:40pm and next Monday, January 13th, from 6pm-6:40pm.
Happy Holidays from El Rio Health. Our health centers will be closing today at 2:00 pm and will be closed tomorrow in observance of Christmas Day. We will be open on Thursday, December 26th with normal business hours. Have a safe, happy, and healthy holiday!
This Saturday, December 21st from 8am-10am will be our last food distribution event of 2024. Normally at our Grant Health Center, it has been moved to our Northwest Health Center (320 W. Prince Rd.) for December and is also a week earlier due to the holiday. We hope to see you out there!
