For a long time, scientists thought we were stuck with the neurons we were born with. But thanks to adult neurogenesis research, we now know that our brains can generate new neurons throughout life! This means our brains aren’t fixed—they’re constantly evolving and adapting, giving us the ability to reshape our brain health at any age. This means our brains are much more adaptable and resilient than we once thought. It’s exciting to know that we can continue building and reshaping our brains as we grow, proving that brain health and growth are possible at any age.

Perrikaryal is doing amazing things with EMOTIV tech! Watching her play Elden Ring using just her thoughts was like seeing the future of gaming unfold right before me. Perri uses the Emotiv EEG headset to measure her brain activity associated with specific thoughts, which then controls her character’s movements and actions. She’s taken our BCI software and, with her own custom coding, mapped in-game abilities to specific mental commands. This tech also opens up new doors for accessibility, allowing people with limited mobility to engage in gaming experiences more fully. One day, we could have games designed specifically for neural inputs, making gaming accessible in ways we’re only beginning to imagine.
