Cannabis companies listen up! It is the best time to hire this time of year. As a company you have a the best vision right now for exactly what your business is doing well and what you need to improve. As a company you have the best vision right now for the skills and abilities needed that could be transformative for your departments or your organization. There is still time to act on getting that skillset in place to start the new year. If you wait until next year to start you are likely not to get someone in the door until March / April. That is 6 more months with the same need. For some critical roles that is the difference between success and failure for your company. In cannabis 95% of all stakeholders are working the week of December 30th. It is a great week to onboard a critical hire. There is still time. If a candidate is turned off by an interview process that occurs during the months of November and December, they are going to be turned off by working in an industry where customers shop nights and weekends and plants never sleep.
