⚠️ As the growth of battery storage systems is increasing rapidly, the focus on safety measures is taking center stage. Comprehensive Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) are vital for battery storage safety. Annual training sessions with First Responders are crucial to ensure they're prepared to handle emergency response scenarios related to this technology. A comprehensive first responder training should include: ✅Intro to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) ✅Site-specific overview of equipment ✅Various types of failure modes ✅Hazards associated with failure modes and the system mitigations, ✅Emergency incident response protocols Training is only one of four critical (though non-exhaustive) elements of an ERP.
