2024 was my first full year on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket and I've never been more appreciative its impact. 😄 It did so much for me as a kid, and it does even more in the community now than ever before. I couldn't be happier with the opportunity to help play a small part! :) Looking back on the year, there were so many great events - from Earth Day clean-ups to STEM Lab activities, Christmas Adopt-A-Family, career speaking, interview prep, youth awards, townhalls, and a dozen more! The Thanksgiving meals & assistance is one that always resonates with me in particular. Growing up in & around food insecurity, every free meal was something really special. I could see that same appreciation on so many faces, often shy to ask for more food, who were so very grateful for what the club provides to them and their families. I'll never forget being in similar situations, and how much that can mean to a family.
