Nike's new CEO Elliott Hill graces the cover of our next issue of Fortune. I flew to the company's Beaverton, Oreg. campus earlier this month to discuss Hill's vision for the company, his ascension from intern to the corner office, and how he plans to reassert the sport retail giant's dominance. Watch the interview below. (And a huge shoutout to Fortune's incredible head of video Adam Banicki for his brilliant collaboration)

- As tensions around return-to-office mandates continue, some employees are filing lawsuits against their employers for their policies. In a lawsuit filed in state court in California last month, a former Tesla executive claims his life was upended after the company required him to come into its corporate offices in Fremont, California, roughly 400 miles from where he lived in Irvine. The plaintiff, Mike Tully, alleges that the company enticed him to leave his long-time job at Bank of America and join the electric car company “after being promised and assured that the position would be remote, and he would not be required to relocate,” the lawsuit claims. To make matters worse Tully was suffering from “a chronic medical condition that was being exacerbated by the stress he was experiencing” related to the job and his inability to work remotely. He claims that he informed the company’s HR department about his condition, but that he was fired anyway. Read more in the #CHRODaily newsletter: https://lnkd.in/gyfzsFUR
- President Donald Trump promised business leaders in Davos that he would offer lower taxes if they invested in the U.S—but warned he would impose tariffs if they don’t. https://lnkd.in/eKDKBsWK President Trump also encouraged businesses across the globe to make their products in the U.S. in order to receive “the lowest taxes of any nation on Earth.” Double-digit duties on imports from select countries are at the heart of the new president’s plans for the U.S. economy. The H-1B visa debate has become one of the most polarizing topics in America, not only dividing the MAGA movement but also tarnishing the accomplishments of Indian-Americans. This isn’t just a policy issue—it’s personal. As I explain in my new Fortune column, these attacks aren’t limited to immigration. They target the incredible contributions of Indian-Americans across industries and even extend to attacks on our culture and religion. My X feed is flooded with venom—racist rhetoric, misinformation about H-1Bs, and hatred toward Hinduism. But here’s the truth: Indian-Americans are not just workers—we are innovators, leaders, and builders of America’s future. From Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella to the thousands of doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs shaping industries, we define what makes this country strong. The H-1B program itself is broken—not because of the immigrants it serves, but because of the systemic flaws that exploit workers and trap them in bureaucratic limbo. Reform isn’t about closing doors; it’s about creating fairness, transparency, and unleashing the talent that drives America forward. The anti-immigrants can hate us, mock us, or try to erase us—but cannot stop us. Indian-Americans are leading, innovating, and contributing at every level of society. The future of America is being shaped by our efforts, and no amount of hostility can change that.
