What a way to close out October and bring in November! İulia Poe, Luke Bidigare-Curtis, Noah Paoletti and Abraham Green volunteered at Ro's Kitchen at the end of October. They made an assortment of goodies including vegan banana bread, chicken pot pie and eggplant moussaka! To kick off November, Bill Balderaz, Sam Underwood, Joshua Platt, Jill Calendine, Daley Herzberg and Adam Burdge volunteered at the Franklin County Dog Shelter, where they loaded dog toys with peanut butter, drafted names for incoming dogs and visited the dogs living within the shelter. It was certainly a struggle not to take all of them home! What is your favorite way to give back to your local community?

🎃 Happy Halloween!🎃 Last Friday, we held our annual office party to celebrate all things spooky. We had a terrific conversation yesterday at our Big Table. As you may know, Lora Fish SHRM-SCP. 🐟 and I do a lot of talking about workforce and talent. This time, we decided to use the Big Table to turn the tables (pun intended) to listen to others talk about their experiences and challenges with workforce and talent. We were selective in our invitations. We identified seven or eight people from various industries who we suspected had lots to say about hiring and retaining workers. Our provocative question: "What's up with workers today?" With that, they were off! A lively and thoughtful exchange of ideas ensued between Amy Wald, Dave Cherry, JD Null, Jacqueline Neal, CPA, CIA, and MBA, Chris McGovern, and Jill Calendine. I learned a lot and gained new insight on things I thought I already thoroughly knew. Sheesh! What a day!! Thank you to The Columbus Foundation for giving us the opportunity and the resources to host a Big Table. And a big thanks goes to Jill Calendine for being a gracious host and all our friends at Futurety for allowing us to use your space! Pictured below is Lora, Jill, JD, and me before everyone else arrived. We wanted to get at least one photo to document the day. 😁
