As we enter the new year, Green Plains remains steadfast in executing across four strategic areas of growth: high-value protein, renewable corn oil, clean sugar and decarbonization. Our commitment to sustainable ingredients sets us apart as we progress toward a carbon neutral future as a modern-day biorefinery.
2024 was another transformative year at Green Plains! In April, we announced Sequence™, a foundational high protein ingredient that delivers greater feed performance and versatility in formulations with a lower carbon footprint. Also, in a technology collaboration with Equilon Enterprises LLC (Shell), Green Plains commissioned a new facility that has the potential to liberate all remaining Renewable Corn Oil within each corn kernel while produce cellulosic ethanol and high-value feed ingredients. Additionally, Green Plains announced the production at the first commercial scale Clean Sugar Technology™ facility, creating disruptive glucose and dextrose products with an up to 40% lower carbon footprint compared to those from a traditional wet mill. We are focused on utilizing innovative technologies to produce sustainable ingredients while reducing our carbon intensity. Through our strategic partnerships, we continue to adapt our carbon reduction strategy as the viability and feasibility of a range of technologies across our platform progresses.
