Established in 1917 as Brockton Credit Union, HarborOne Bank has been serving the needs of customers and the communities that we call home for over 100 years. Today, HarborOne banking centers throughout eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island and 2 commercial lending offices in Boston and Providence. HarborOne Mortgage, headquartered in Manchester, NH provides personalized residential lending solutions through a network of offices throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire and is lends in five additional states. We offer the very best in personal, small business, and commercial banking products and services, including a full suite of online, mobile banking, and cash management tools. Our consumer lending business extends throughout eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with particular expertise in Home Equity lending. Our Commercial Lending team is comprised of seasoned veterans who specialize in meeting the needs of today’s business leaders who need “big bank” products with local bank personal service. Loans, lines of credit, cash management, and commercial real estate are our areas of expertise. As we wrap up HarborOne’s 10th Annual Harvest for Hunger Campaign we are so grateful for everyone who made it a success. Our customers donated nonperishable food, and our employees teamed up with our outstanding community partners to assist hundreds of individuals and families across Massachusetts and Rhode Island who are at risk of food insecurity this holiday season. Together we collected and donated over 7,000 food items, made $25,000 in mini grants to more than 40 organizations, assembled and delivered 315 bags of fresh produce. The award recognizes Friedman-Boyce’s valuable contributions to the field of banking, expertise, and strong commitment to ethical practices within the sector. Friedman-Boyce serves as EVP, Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for HarborOne Bank and Chief Legal Officer for HarborOne Bancorp, Inc. In this role, she oversees HarborOne’s Legal and Compliance functions, including providing strategic legal advice to the board and management; managing SEC reporting and corporate governance; negotiating contractual relationships; handling regulatory applications and examinations; and managing litigation and other disputes. As part of her responsibility, Friedman-Boyce oversees HarborOne’s Community Reinvestment Act program, through which HarborOne has earned multiple, consecutive “Outstanding” ratings from federal and state regulators, a designation reserved for the small group of banks that most effectively meet the credit needs of their local communities. She believes that community service is central to both community banking and shareholder value, and she is committed to improving the lives of people in the communities that HarborOne serves. She is the president and co-chair of Lawyers for Civil Rights, a legal engine for racial equity and social justice in Greater Boston and the Gateway Cities of Massachusetts.
