- Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia's Clinical Nurse Liaisons had the pleasure of visiting Four Freedoms House, an independent living community in Philadelphia, to connect with local seniors. They discussed the importance of mental health at every stage of life, emphasizing how factors like illness, life transitions, and other challenges can impact older adults. They also highlighted the resources available nearby at Haven to support their well-being. The group was highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and offering encouragement to one another. One member shared his personal experience with calling 988, and they had the opportunity to meet with him afterward. They wrapped up the visit with several lively games of bingo—an enjoyable way to foster conversations about mental health while having fun together.#geriatricpsychiatry #mentalhealthelderly #suicideprevention #philadelphiageriatriccommunity

- Stay Safe During the Heat Wave! As temperatures rise, let's remember to keep an extra eye on our geriatric population. Older adults are more vulnerable to the heat, so check in on your elderly neighbors, friends, and family members. Make sure they have plenty of water, a cool place to stay, and are taking the necessary precautions to beat the heat. Together, we can ensure everyone's safety and well-being. Stay cool and stay hydrated! #HeatWave #StaySafe #GeriatricCare #CommunitySupport #HydrationMatters #HavenPhiladelphia
