About us

Established in 1963, HopeLink Behavorial Health (formerly PRS) exists so that individuals living with mental illness, substance use disorders, mild intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and anyone who faces life crises can achieve safety, personal wellness, recovery and community integration. HopeLink services are provided throughout Northern Virginia and in the District of Columbia. Our unique role in the community enables us to explore and quickly implement innovative models of service and program delivery while maintaining close relationships with our clients, their families and the community at large. Those services include: Recovery Academy Day Programs, Community Support Services, Employment Services, Community Housing, and CrisisLink. HopeLink clients are persons living with severe mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder or major depression), mild intellectual disabilities, substance use disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and anyone who faces life crises. HopeLink’s experience shows that with the proper services and support, our clients can and do increase their independence and self-sufficiency. With HopeLink supports, clients are taking critical steps to leading strong and fulfilling lives.

This past Friday, HopeLink celebrated its 2024 Imagine Hope Benefit at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. Over 500 guests enjoyed creative culinary experiences, exciting live and silent auction items, an inspirational live program, and an opportunity to raise critical funds for HopeLink's behavioral health, crisis, and suicide intervention services. We are thrilled to announce that together, we raised a record-breaking $958,000 to support HopeLink's life-changing and life-saving services! A special thank you to our fantastic co-chairs, Brian Meadows and Halley Meadows, Brian Higgins and Morgan Higgins and to our 2024 Host Committee for all your hard work in making this year's event a record-breaking success. Here at HopeLink, we appreciate our volunteers and the many ways in which they show up to support our work! This week, our Stepping Stones program participated in Accenture's Day of Service and enjoyed a fun and expressive project that embraced the "letting go" aspect of the fall season. We all took the time to reflect on and discuss what letting go means to us, how we want to feel when we let go, and identify the things we have chosen to release this season. We decorated leaves, including those things we're releasing, and expanded the program's collaborative arts tree. Having Accenture collaborate with us in this meaningful activity created a special opportunity for our clients to engage with community members who truly understand and embody social support.
