Congratulations Kari Grubin on your election to serve as President of the Hollywood Professional Association! We look forward to our continued work together!
We are excited to welcome Kari Grubin as president-elect of HPA, succeeding current president Seth Hallen beginning January 1, 2025! Grubin will become the first woman to hold HPA presidency and only the third president since our founding. A recognized expert in technology and post production services, Grubin possesses the experience and vision to help drive HPA through the next phase of the industry’s evolution. A dedicated HPA Board Member since 2020, Grubin has spearheaded several of HPA’s most impactful initiatives including Women in Post, Young Entertainment Professionals, and HPA ALL. Outside of HPA, Grubin is member services director for the Motion Picture Association's Trusted Partner Network and also serves on the Production and Technology Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Welcome back from Labor/Labour Day! I hope you had fun! IBC, NAB NY, SMPTE MTS, and other events are approaching, so you might not be giving much thought to the 30th anniversary of the HPA Tech Retreat in February, but the deadline for submissions for the curated program days is October 18, and, although there's no deadline for the breakfast roundtables, slots are starting to fill up.
