An offsite wall panel manufacture and subsidiary of DL Cohen Construction Company LLC
About us
Huron Components, a subsidiary of DL Cohen Construction Company, is an offsite wall panel manufacturing plant. Leveraging high precision wall panel design software and top of the line manufacturing equipment, Huron Components is bringing next level construction to commercial framing in the Front Range Colorado Region. Wall Panels produced at Huron Components are of the highest quality beginning with a robust preconstruction process where project structural drawings are stripped down to the stud and rebuilt piece by piece ensure proper loading, design and compliance to building codes. The project files are then loaded into automatic marking saws that cut, measure and mark each piece for precise building on the production line using framing tables and laser guided routing & nailing bridges to efficiently cut openings and attach sheathing to exterior walls. Huron is able to produce a perfect wall ready to be set at the project every time.

Panelized Light-Frame Construction with DL Cohen On Monday, I had the pleasure of hosting a WoodWorks tour alongside APA – The Engineered Wood Association and DL Cohen Construction Company LLC/Huron Components LLC. We explored the innovative world of panelized light-frame wood manufacturing and construction at the DL Cohen/Huron Components factory and an active jobsite in Green Valley Ranch! We visited DL Cohen’s paperless manufacturing facility, where light-frame wood wall panels and trusses are produced offsite to ensure accuracy, high quality, and consistency. As highlighted, DL Cohen/Huron Components methodology is backed by their comprehensive modeling structure and in-house component manufacturing that helps them deliver precision, quality, and support tailored specifically for framers and project teams. These panels are shipped to job sites in thoughtfully sequenced packages for rapid and straightforward erection. The projects DL Cohen shared with us highlighted the benefits of offsite panel manufacturing, including creating safer job sites, reducing material waste, and accelerating construction timelines. Green Valley Ranch Jobsite: The GVR development features 9 buildings of 3-story garden apartments. We saw trusses stacked with studs from roof to foundation, exemplary sheathing nailing, and neatly coordinated and installed MEP systems. A big thank you to Ron Nuttall, DL Cohen Construction Company LLC/Huron Components LLC, and everyone who joined us. Your insights and expertise made this tour a valuable learning experience for all, and we had great questions and engagement from our guests! Looking forward to more opportunities to delve into more advancements in our industry! Missed the tour? Contact Morgan Karlos for additional opportunities. - It was a pleasure to host students from the University of Denver earlier this month. Supporting the education of the next generation not only broadens their minds but also boosts the economy and enhances community safety. The labor shortage remains one of the biggest challenges facing our industry and will likely persist for at least the next decade. We are focusing on mitigating the impact of this ongoing shortfall. #dlcohencc #huroncomponents #offsiteconstruction #manufacturing #productivity #quality #multifamilyconstruction #construction #components #multifamilycommunity #Denverconstruction #production #design #futureofconstruction

It was a great day learning about offsite construction from Ross Cohen and the team at @DL Cohen and Huron Components LLC. Brad Bentzen, P.E., LEED AP, Morgan Karlos, David L. Cohen, Steve McFall, PE, and Jeffrey Calhoon were fantastic hosts. Thank you all for lunch and for demonstrating how offsite construction goes from design to production. Today, in our schools, trades are given little honor. Building something over buying something holds a higher appreciation, giving work that engages student capacities as fully as possible. To teach these basics of safety and craftsmanship takes a great act of optimism and creativity. Donating any materials we can, Huron Components LLC & DL Cohen Construction Company LLC help to keep these classes going.#woodshop #trades #teaching #moldingyoungminds
