V tem tednu sem v okviru vladno-gospodarske delegacije poslovno v Shanghaju na Kitajskem. Kot direktor zavoda Slovenia Biotech Hills sem sodeloval na investicijski konferenci in potencialnim kitajskim investitorjem predstavil naš edinstven ekosistem ter vizijo na področju razvoja biotehnološko-farmacevtskega sektorja. Včeraj sem obiskal tudi podjetje Porton Pharma Solutions Ltd. Razkazali so mi svoje inovativne prostore za raziskave in razvoj na področju rešitev CDMO za majhne molekule, biološka zdravila in konjugate od predklinične do komercialne faze. Gre za biotehnološko izredno napredno podjetje, ki je z nedavno investicijo v Sloveniji, podoben obrat odprlo tudi v Mengšu. S tem podjetje postaja pomemben partner številnih biotehnoloških in farmacevtskih podjetij iz Slovenije z jasno vizijo vzpostavitve dodatnih razvojnih in drugih kapacitet. V okviru obiska smo obiskali še nekaj izjemno zanimivih in naprednih podjetij na Kitajskem, pri katerih je jasno, da vodijo svetovni tehnološki in tudi avtomobilski razvoj.
💫Critical Breakthrough💫 The Porton J-STAR Research, Inc. team is excited to share our significant contributions to the development of ENT-03, a promising mammalian analog of trodusquemine for treating #diabetes and #obesity. The asymmetric hydrogenation development was led by Dr. Thorsten R., and published along with several other industry experts including Dr. Hui Chen, Dr. Qi Gao, Dr. Andrew Thompson, and Ian Crouch. A critical#breakthrough in this synthesis involved the asymmetric hydrogenation of an enoic acid, achieving the desired enantiomer with up to 95% enantiomeric excess using only 0.05 mol% of a commercially available ruthenium-Mandyphos catalyst. This success resulted from a meticulous series of high-throughput screening experiments, where we evaluated a variety of #catalysts, #solvents, and#additives across more than 200 reaction conditions. Our rigorous evaluation and #optimization process pinpointed (Me-allyl)2Ru(COD)/SL-M004-1 as the superior #catalyst. We also selected the eco-friendly solvent i-PrOAc, which provided optimal scalability and efficiency in the reaction.
