- As part of our extensive sustainability program at T4, we regularly partner with local organizations to raise awareness around sustainability and the importance of protecting our planet. One such partnership is our work with The Bronx Zoo and the Wildlife Conservation Society to bring T4 passengers an immersive holographic experience featuring a variety of animals from the Bronx Zoo, from sloths to alligators, pelicans, warthogs and more. The installation provides a mix of engaging and informative content, and highlights the work of the Wildlife Conservation Society around the globe. If you're traveling through T4 this week, be sure to check it out!

For JFKIAT, sustainability is embedded into everything we do at T4 – in partnership with the The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, we prioritize sustainable initiatives in our operations, technology, customer experience, and more. As a sustainability leader within the aviation industry, we know that supporting a healthy environment is critical for our future as a society – and at JFKIAT we ensure that, year-round, that mission is put to action. We're celebrating Climate Week NYC with an activation at T4 for our passengers and employees, inviting our community to participate in surveys to help us recertify our LEED Platinum status and elevate our sustainability programming for the future. Everyone who completes a survey will receive a reusable tote bag made from 100% recycled materials. This week, we're also using our Oscar Screen at T4 to display messaging about best practices to live a more sustainable lifestyle. If you're passing through T4 this week, be sure to stop by our activation to learn more. - We are pleased to share that JFKIAT was recognized on the Crain's New York Business Best Places to Work list for the fifth consecutive year, and is the only aviation company named to this year's list. At JFKIAT, we stand firmly in the belief that our people are our most important asset. Through our extensive Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives, we provide year-round programs to provide JFKIAT employees with a wide range of awareness and education opportunities. Through our philanthropic program, 4GOOD, we also work with a wide range of community partners to support local residents and businesses - providing programs for JFKIAT employees to work directly with the local community we are lucky to be part of. We are so proud of our one-of-a-kind team, and we are grateful for their dedication to delivering incredible journeys for our travelers at T4. Congratulations to our fellow honorees!
- Today, we pause to honor the memory of those lost on September 11, 2001, and express our deepest thanks to the brave heroes who served on that day. This morning Terminal 4 observed two minutes of silence, at the times that the towers were struck, to commemorate the lives that were lost. We will never forget the bravery and resilience that emerged amidst unfathomable tragedy.
- JFKIAT has a strong commitment to fostering connections between Terminal 4 and the larger Queens community, and this summer, we had an opportunity to share our passion for aviation with some very important community members: the girls who will lead the next generation of our great city's skilled tradespeople. We recently worked with Holt Construction to host campers from Tools & Tiaras Inc., a Queens-based organization dedicated to motivating girls to explore careers in the skilled trades. The event – led by Gina Battagliola, PMP, Director of Terminal Redevelopment at JFKIAT, and Shereece Grant, Senior Project Accountant at Holt Construction – included an inspiring discussion featuring women leaders within the aviation industry, a session on construction and operational safety, and a guided tour of Terminal 4 and the Holt Construction site. The participants also had an exciting opportunity to view operations from the 7th floor of the Air Traffic Control Tower and meet with First Officer Veronika Bendova. Thank you to everyone for helping to make this event a success and empowering these young women to break gender barriers in their careers and beyond.
- Did you know that it takes the work of thousands of people to keep T4 running smoothly every day? From our greeters, to our baggage handlers, to our air traffic controllers and everyone in between, our T4 community works together year-round to deliver incredible journeys to our passengers - and in doing so, we've created a true family who are all driven by that mission. This week, we took some time to celebrate that outstanding community and thank them for everything they do. On Tuesday, we hosted our 9th annual T4 Employee Appreciation Day to recognize the T4 community's unwavering commitment, enthusiasm, and dedication to making T4 a world-class air terminal. We celebrated the day with the things our team loves most - awesome food, dessert trucks, music, lots of games, and photos to capture all the memories we made. We are grateful to our incredible team members who make every day at T4 feel special - not just for our passengers, but for each other as well. Thank you to our volunteers and sponsors for making this memorable event possible!
