This summer, Morrie's Auto Group donated nearly 3,000 (!!!) backpacks and over $23,000 to KINF. They even showed up to our warehouse with the van and their team dropped it all off in person. That’s a lot of backpacks! 🎒 We are so thankful for Morrie’s and their dedication to getting kids the supplies they need. We appreciate you very much! 💙
For millions of students, the start of a new school year can bring both excitement and anxiety. Will they have what they need? In Hawai'i, KINF partnered with yoobi to alleviate this concern by providing over 23,000 students and 1,500 teachers with free school supplies - a gesture that hopes to have a profound impact on student confidence. This initiative is about so much more than just notebooks and pencils. By making sure every kid has access to the essentials, it empowers them to approach the new year with a renewed sense of self-assurance. No more worrying about not having the tools they need - they can just focus on diving into the adventure of learning.
"Over five days, the Vikings and Pepsi helped support more than 300 teachers and 8,000 students. A total of $180,000 worth of school supplies were distributed throughout the week, as well as 60 Supply A Teacher (SAT) Kits. Each kit includes supplies for an entire school's teachers, with an additional 10 kids for incoming teachers. These kits can impact up to 1,440 students. Quarterback Sam Darnold especially was impacted by the event, as his mom Chris recently retired after a 27-year teaching career. He joined a few different teachers, pushing their carts through the aisles and learning more about their experiences." This summer, KINF and Toyota Motor Corporation came together for the third annual Big Summer Giveback! Over the past three years, this partnership has led to over 3.75millionindonations,helpingmorethan140,000studentsthroughKINF’sSupplyAStudentprogram.Thisyear’sprogramwasbiggerthanever,withover600localToyotadealershipsjoiningforcestosupportstudentsandteachers.Aspartoftheeffort,47dealershipspledged3.75 million in donations, helping more than 140,000 students through KINF’s Supply A Student program. This year’s program was bigger than ever, with over 600 local Toyota dealerships joining forces to support students and teachers. As part of the effort, 47 dealerships pledged 3.75millionindonations,helpingmorethan140,000studentsthroughKINF’sSupplyAStudentprogram.Thisyear’sprogramwasbiggerthanever,withover600localToyotadealershipsjoiningforcestosupportstudentsandteachers.Aspartoftheeffort,47dealershipspledged10,000 each to benefit their local communities. ‘The Big Summer Giveback is a chance for our dealership family to rally around families in our community, and make sure local kids have the supplies they need to get off to a great start,’ says Loyalty Automotive President, Dave Perno. ‘It has really become one of our favorite events of the year.’ Students and educators across the country are feeling the impact. As Greer Elementary School Assistant Principal Becca Irvine shared, “Truly means everything to us. I mean we’re so grateful. Just to have a pencil of their own, a notebook, a folder that means everything.. it allows them to be present and available for learning, and it allows their families to not have to stress about that during the school year.” We’re incredibly grateful for Toyota’s ongoing commitment to students, teachers, and communities everywhere. We are having a BLAST this week at KINF! The Minnesota Vikings and PepsiCo are sponsoring our Teacher Resource Center and some of the players came by to help our teachers shop for school supplies. 💜 We are SO grateful for this partnership and for the Vikings players cheering on our incredible teachers- they deserve to be celebrated for all they do. 🎉 SKOL!!!
Over 53,000 pounds of school supplies are on their way to Hawaii’s most remote regions, thanks to the Kids In Need Foundation’s RISE Program! With the support of our generous partner yoobi we’re providing over half a million dollars in supplies to 23,000 students and 1,500 teachers across 40 schools. From the Ka‘ū district to the farthest corners of the Big Island, we’re ensuring every child has what they need to succeed! However, we need your help! We're buzzing with excitement at Kids In Need Foundation because this year's back-to-school is our biggest yet! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and corporate partners, we're distributing a record-breaking amount of backpacks and essential school supplies, ensuring students and teachers start the school year strong. To maintain this momentum and meet this incredible opportunity, we need a record-breaking number of volunteers to join us this August! 📅 Volunteers Needed: 250 🎒 Tasks: Assemble backpacks so students start their first day with essential supplies, organize supplies to ensure each backpack is fully equipped, replenish our Teacher Resource Center to support local educators.
