Today marks a pivotal moment for us at juna.ai as we emerge from stealth mode and announce we have raised $7.5 million in seed funding led by Kleiner Perkins in participation from Norrsken VC! 🎉 When we started juna.ai, our mission was to tackle one of the biggest challenges in heavy industries—decarbonizing and optimizing complex industrial processes. We had a strong belief that by leveraging advanced AI, we could transform manufacturing facilities into intelligent, self-learning systems that operate autonomously. The manufacturing sector is responsible for ~40% of the world's total energy consumption, significantly contributing to global carbon emissions. With rising energy prices, disrupted supply chains, and increasing pressure to achieve net-zero emissions, manufacturers are facing unprecedented challenges. We set out to address these issues by creating AI-powered systems that not only optimize operations in real-time but also reduce energy consumption and carbon footprints. Over the past year, we have made incredible strides. We've developed cutting-edge AI-based control systems and have already deployed our product with early customers, demonstrating real-world success and generating tangible savings. But there's still a long journey ahead. Today, I’m excited to share Infinitus Systems, Inc.’s $51.5 million Series C led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Coatue, GV (Google Ventures), Kleiner Perkins and Memorial Hermann Health System. When Shyam Rajagopalan and I started Infinitus more than five years ago, we did so with a vision to make healthcare “wait-less.” Since our founding in 2019, we’ve been committed to creating a future where every patient has up-to-the-minute information and support at every stage of their healthcare journey and technology works for employees instead of the other way around. Today’s significant milestone marks a pivotal moment in our journey to revolutionize healthcare through the power of AI. This has been a remarkable year for Infinitus, which surpassed four million calls made by our AI agent a few months ago. Today, I am thrilled to share that we have acquired Aerodome, the leader in Drone as First Responder (DFR) technology. We partnered with Aerodome earlier this year, believing that DFR programs are truly the next step in a modern law enforcement agency’s incident response strategy. No other technology helps officers get eyes on the scene faster than a drone. A drone can be anywhere within a city in under 90 seconds, giving officers near real-time eyes on the scene to respond rapidly and save lives. As part of this announcement, we will develop a fleet of American-made, National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant drones, within the next 12 months.
